Ross is a talented filmmaker and author who utilized her own family history, research and interviews with hundreds of Black fathers, Educators and Historians such as Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu and Dr. Ira Berlin, to explore Black men in their roles as fathers from their time of enslavement to the present. “It is my goal [via my workshops, film and book] to display very clear facts about the history of Black fatherhood, the many extraneous circumstances Black fathers face, how Black men became disenfranchised; how it affected the Black family structure, and what steps can be undertaken in order to curb and eventually cure this problem,” stated Ross in a recent internet radio interview.

The producing genious of Dave Burnett and 2 Soul Music helped to propell AI’s album “Micoholic” to the top of the charts. Her new album “Best AI” consists of new remixes and has already debuted at #1 on the Japanese charts.

AI was the first major Japanese star to perform at an international awards ceremony (APSA) outside of Asia. APSA is a unique collaboration between CNN International, UNESCO and FIAPF-International Federation of Film Producer’s Associations through the Queensland Government, Australia. AI recently performed the hit single “Story” from her latest album “Best AI” as well as the breathtaking feature track from the score of multi-award winning Japanese film, Okuribito (Departures). Her performance was broadcast across CNN’s global network on December 3rd.

AI is one of a long list of international recording artists Dave Burnett has produced. Dave has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Cuba Gooding, Sr., Ron (Amen Ra) Lawrence , Faith Evans, Tyrese and Boys II Men to name a few.

Solomon Boakye, pictured in the black shirt, is the Director of Small Expeditions and our youth athletic program in Ghana. In this photo, Solomon is presenting a group of students in the Asanti Region of Ghana with sporting equipment for their after school soccer program. Books, clothing and food were also donated by Nike, The AAFC (African American Family Conference) and Scholastic Books.

In March, 2009 we set out to develop aftercare sports programs within two schools and three orphanages in Ghana, Mali and the Congo. Unfortunately, our representative was kidnapped and beaten by rebels in the Congo. We are happy to report that he is currently recovering in the US with his family. Although our supplies and efforts to secure programs in the Congo was interrupted, our goal to provide youth around the world with the necessary resources to improve their health, education and environment is still in motion.
